YSI conference is a yearly virtual, where we celebrate IDEA’s of young people to co-create a flourishing space and well-being for themselves and others at campus.

The 3 day ONLINE event will showcase young people’s innovative models of transformation of an ordinary space at campus into a beautiful one. And their reflective stories on how this impacted their campus environment, for student flourishing and wellbeing . Besides this, its an open space for discussions, celebration of Tagore’s stories and poems and any other activity one wants to organise.  

The theme for YSI 22 , is to co-create a beautiful campus and explore the relationship of aesthetic sensibilities and harmonious relationships with self, with each other and our campus, thereby leading to oneness of our learning community – a Vasudeva kutumbakam. This is based on what Rabindranath Tagore, envisioned his ideal educational space at Shanthi Niketan.  He says : “The highest education is that which does not merely give us information, but makes our life in harmony with all existence. Through our sense of beauty, we realize the harmony in the universe. So, the major task of University is to create that climate of education”.

The YSI Conference is co-created by young people from different colleges, who use democratic processes to design informal learning spaces, where they can share ideas & listen to ideas.

YSI conference brings together the learning community of students and faculties from different learning spaces across India. We have young people from universities and colleges, and other learning spaces, from interior rural villages to cosmopolitan cities and belonging to diverse disciplines.

YSI 22  is the 4th edition of the conference convened by Srushti Degree College.

Who can attend ?

Every participant is a presenter and every presenter is a participant.

Students and faculty who have participated in Pre-conference workshop and also undertook the project can participate. We allow other  Students and faculty from the participating colleges & Universities across India to also can attend the online conference.
